Our Expertise Is Carbon and Sulfur LECO Analysis
Our carbon and sulfur LECO analysis involves sample combustion and measurement of combustion gas absorption in the infrared region. We weigh your sample material, heat and combust in a flow of pure oxygen. As a result of this combustion process, the carbon and sulfur components are oxidized to form carbon dioxide (CO2) and sulfur dioxide (SO2) respectively. We can detect low-levels of carbon and sulfur from .0004% to 5%, depending upon sample type and weight of the material.
